Southern Cross


Heavy progressive band SOUTHERN CROSS formed in 2001 by Jean-Francois Boudreault and David Lizotte. Though a number of lineup changes followed, Olivier Perrier and Antoine Guertin joined the band. SOUTHERN CROSS released their first album 'Rise Above' in 2006. The album received mixed reviews and the band decided to concentrate more on their progressive roots for their future.

SOUTHERN CROSS' second studio album 'Down Below' was released on June 2009. This album indicated a more progressive approach for the band. It was praised by the critics as the band established itself among the rock-progressive fanbase in Canada and USA. The album release has been followed by many gigs for the band in Canada. The band started working on a new album in 2010.

'From Tragedy' has been recorded during the year 2011 and released on February 28th 2012. This heavy-progressive release has received great reviews on popular webzines. and the band signed a worldwide deal with Unicorn Digital to re-released the album in April 2013. The band is currently playing gigs in Canada and working on collaborations to promote the new album worldwide while already seeding ideas for a next album... Southern Cross Playerplay
